My packages usually contain small items, and consolidation fee at Blackship is rather high, especially when it is just stacking a couple of books or discs together it will cost at least ¥900 for a minimal effort. I had to buy from different merchants due to item availability, and even for the same merchant they may choose to send out items whenever stock is available, hence forcing one order splitting into at least 2 packages. In the end, I would rather ship out package individually because consolidation doesn't help in much savings due to this fee. Looking at other forwarding services around the world, I notice that consolidation fee is usually offered as a complimentary service (see attached image table list), as such fee is placed under repacking. Even competitor in Japan started introducing free consolidation starting from December 2022. Hence I would like to request Blackship review and make appropriate revisions according to the market. Even if there may be a challenge to offer at no cost all of a sudden, there should be room for looking into waiver for small items (considering the fact that there is nothing much to do except just putting items together), and discounted rate for fragile and bulkier items where repacking needs more care and attention.
