The strike by Canada Post's postal workers ended on Tuesday, December 17 (local time), as confirmed by Canada Post. Japan Post has also announced that international mail shipments to Canada resumed yesterday, Wednesday, December 18.

However, Canada Post has indicated that significant delivery delays are expected as they work through the backlog of mail accumulated during the strike.

Additionally, please be aware that backlogs often increase the risk of missing or misplaced packages during processing.

Effective January 1st, DHL will implement the following fee changes:

¥3,300 (approx. $22.55 USD) for packages with any side exceeding 100 cm (reduced from the previous 120 cm threshold).

¥3,300 (approx. $22.55 USD) for packages weighing over 25 kg but less than 70 kg.

If a package qualifies for both the size and weight conditions, only the Oversized Cargo fee will apply.

All fees will be charged in USD based on real-time currency exchange rates at the time of shipping. The USD amounts provided above are estimates and may vary.

These adjustments are in line with DHL’s global shipping policy updates.

Please note that all packages will still enjoy 45 days of free storage. If your account is set up with a foreign currency, fees will be converted accordingly.

For customers using Two-Step Checkout (Pack & Hold), be aware that once your package is marked "Ready to Ship," you will have 7 days to complete your shipping request. After 7 days, your ready-to-ship package will accrue storage fees based on the daily rate.

Finally, these new shipping fees will not be discounted based on your Blackship Reward Plan level.

We are excited to share some long-awaited news with our customers! In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, several cheaper shipping options, notably the small packet service by Japan Post, were temporarily suspended across many countries. Some of these services have remained unavailable to some countries even after the pandemic's getting better over time.

Finally, effective October 1st 2023, we are pleased to announce that Japan Post has officially resumed its small packet airmail service to many countries. Additionally, they have also resumed some parcel airmail and EMS options to specific countries, such as:
